My thoughts are with you all today. I am so sad as well. Bud and Pepper were the closest I have ever been to having a horse companion. Bud was a patient and loving horse who allowed you to teach me how to ride on him. I learned so much about how to act around horses and what they can teach us about life through your blog. And the horses were a way I got to spend time with both of you. I treasure those memories and Bud. He will be greatly missed. Sending you love and light on this sad day. Love you!

Oh no! My heart goes out to you guys. One lucky horse to receive the love you all gave him. And lucky lucky YOU for having loved him. Thoughts are with you. Thank you for sharing him with all of us.

Bud’s spirit will live on in your hearts forever. I can just picture him up in horsey heaven romping around with my old guy who left the earth just a few weeks ago as well. In horsey heaven they have no pain – only loving memories from their time here with their human caretakers. Try to take comfort in knowing you made that time here awesome for him!

God saw you were getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered “come to Me”. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hooves went to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.
Thinking of you now and wishing you peace in your hearts.

Oh, my darlings, you have been such good parents to Bud. He was so lucky to have you three. My heart sends love to yours.

The world feels a bit empty today without Bud in it…I will miss him, too. Thank you, thank you for sharing Bud with all of us who read your blog, Jean and Rick. He touched my heart and taught me so many lessons that I will keep in my mind and heart. I feel so blessed that I was lucky enough to have been with Bud in person a few times. He had the softest coat and the deepest, kindest eyes. It was so apparent that he loved you both so much! It was a joy to witness your bond.
My heart is with you and dear, sweet Pepper.

Oh honey, I have no words to express my sadness at Bud’s passing.
May you be healed. May you be at peace. May something good come from this. And, so it must be.

Jean, I’m so sorry to hear about your loss. I haven’t had the chance to keep up with your adventures very much, but I think about you and your critters often. I’m so sad to hear that Bud has moved on. I know that Pepper must miss him a lot too. You gave him so many good years, and we all have learned a lot from the stories you’ve shared about Bud too. Sending hugs from Oregon. … Tammy

A sad time for all. Bud could not speak out loud – but with his heart he was saying—-Enough – dear ones – I can’t do this anymore. Cherish the many many memories you both have.

Oh Jean, I am SO sorry! I understand completely how you must feel as we had to say goodby to our old sweetie a year ago, and as I read these words, it brought it all back. My heart goes out too for dear Pepper as I know she misses him too.
