Time for Tuesday Beauty

What is it about us that compels us to etch our names on trees?

Somehow we’ve made it sound romantic – a sign of true love to scar the bark of a tree with your love’s initials.

These days I don’t find it romantic. I’m sorry for the trees that have all they can do to stay alive in the harsh Wyoming climate without having someone cut into them.

I hope I sound more like an environmentalist than a curmudgeon. But I’m not sure I do.

And maybe that’s okay too.

i like being a voice for the trees.

Even with their “tattoos” I love these trees.

We live in a beautiful world.
